After celebrating their destination wedding in Đà Lạt, Vanessa & Tùng Anh chose to return to Hà Nội, the city where family, memories, and the earliest chapters of their story began. Perhaps that is what we loved most about this celebration. It wasn't simply another wedding, but a heartfelt homecoming. A chance to gather the people who had been there from the very beginning, and to continue a love story exactly where it had first taken root. Walking alongside Vanessa & Tùng Anh once again felt like completing a journey that had come full circle.
In October, our journey with Vanessa & Tùng Anh began with a tea ceremony that felt wonderfully intimate. Gentle music filled the space as traditions unfolded at an unhurried pace, leaving room for heartfelt conversations, blessings from family, and stories shared between generations. More than a ceremony, it felt like an afternoon where everyone came together to celebrate love in its simplest and most genuine form.
One of the first things we noticed about JW Marriott Hanoi was its expansive pre-function lobby. Instead of treating it as a passageway to the ballroom, we envisioned it as The Vanessa & Tùng Anh Exhibition. Framed by flowing drapery, the space became a gallery of memories where guests could pause, revisit the couple's journey through photographs, and gently ease into the celebration before its next chapter unfolded.
Inspired by the spirit of Hà Nội, where heritage and modernity exist side by side, the reception embraced a palette of deep red and contemporary blue. Red became a tribute to tradition and family, while blue reflected a new beginning the couple was building together. Garden style clusters of roses softened the bold palette, allowing the two colours to blend naturally into a space that felt both timeless and modern.
As the evening unfolded, the celebration became a gentle concert of its own. Tùng Anh surprised Vanessa with a piano performance, followed by a graceful ballet accompanied by the violin. Between music, laughter, and heartfelt toasts, the evening never felt like a formal reception. Instead, it became a beautiful continuation of the story every guest had just experienced, one that ended with everyone feeling as though they had truly come home.
Looking back, what we cherish most isn't only the celebrations we created together, but the journey we shared with Vanessa & Tùng Anh along the way. Beginning with their tea ceremony and wedding procession, continuing to their destination wedding in Đà Lạt, and finally returning home for their traditional wedding reception in Hà Nội, every milestone brought us a little closer. They gave us the trust and creative freedom to imagine each celebration in our own way, while we were given the privilege of listening, understanding, and caring for every detail that mattered. Somewhere along the journey, it no longer felt like planning weddings, but like creating meaningful moments alongside friends.
