A LOVE TIED IN THE RAIN

Testimonial
And in the groom’s words: hands down the best money we spent on the entire wedding, worth every single penny.

Dearest Meraki, You gave me not just a wedding magically beyond my wildest dream, but also a planning journey that became one of the most beautiful periods of my life. The first time I met Xuan and she showed me the team’s masterplan spreadsheet, I was sold. I immediately loved how meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented the team was. Xuan was never just “a wedding planner” to me, but more like a sister throughout the process — someone who genuinely took the time to understand us, observe our style,...

What we loved

Vanessa and Tùng Anh's wedding was shaped by an extraordinary level of care. Care for their guests, for the experience they wanted to create, and for the many people they hoped to share it with. It was present in every thoughtful decision, from a highly personalised culinary journey inspired by their shared love of food to the countless details considered throughout the celebration. It was equally present in the way their family became part of the journey from the very beginning.

Venue

From the beginning, Vanessa & Tùng Anh envisioned a celebration set within an open landscape, somewhere immersed in nature and quietly removed from the city. The Campville eventually stood out for its hillside framed by pine trees, wild grasses, and one of the most beautiful sunsets in Đà Lạt.

What made the venue special, however, was also what made it challenging. Unlike a conventional wedding venue, The Campville offered a blank canvas where nearly everything had to be built from the ground up. From the ceremony lawn and reception space to the kitchen, power supply, and guest experience, every element required careful planning long before the wedding day arrived.

In the days leading up to the wedding, relentless rain completely transformed the hillside. The ground softened, the landscape shifted, and plans changed almost by the hour. Yet standing there that evening, it was hard to imagine everything had once existed only as sketches and ideas.

The Celebration

As the first notes of Một Đời drifted across the hillside, everyone quietly turned toward the pathway between the wild grasses. Beneath a sea of transparent umbrellas, guests stood patiently in the rain, waiting for Vanessa to appear.

And when she finally emerged through the mist, something shifted. The rain, the music carried by the wind, and the sight of everyone standing together on the hillside seemed to blend into a single moment.

Dinner Reception

Creating a refined dining experience on a remote hillside venue meant building much of the catering operation from the ground up. From transporting equipment and tableware up the hill to ensuring every course was served at the right temperature and time, every detail required careful planning and close coordination between teams. Behind the scenes, countless adjustments continued throughout the day, all with one shared goal: bringing to life the evening Vanessa & Tùng Anh had envisioned.

A Local Touch

The spirit of the highlands was quietly woven throughout the experience through artichokes, wild mushrooms, seasonal fruits, and locally inspired touches appearing across the tablescape and bar experience. Rather than approaching local elements too literally, everything was incorporated in a way that felt refined, understated, and deeply connected to the atmosphere of Đà Lạt itself.

When the reception space finally opened, we saw exactly that. Guests slowly made their way inside, pausing to take in the setting before finding their seats. The evening unfolded through a menu thoughtfully curated around the couple’s favourite flavours and dining experiences, allowing guests to discover a small part of Vanessa & Tùng Anh’s story through every course.

Looking back, what stays with us most is not the changing weather or the last-minute adjustments along the way, but the image of Vanessa & Tùng Anh smiling beneath the rain, surrounded by loved ones who stayed and celebrated together. Years from now, what everyone remembers may not be the rain itself, but the warmth, happiness, and sense of togetherness that filled the day.
