Be still my love

Testimonial
It felt less like hiring a planner and more like having a group of friends who happened to be wedding experts in your corner.

My husband and I got married in Vietnam. That's home for us but we've been living in San Francisco for most of our lives, which meant planning a wedding from across the world, dealing with vendors, time differences, and logistics were honestly going to give us a lot of headache before we even started. We talked to so many planners in Ho Chi Minh city trying to find the right fit. And then we found Meraki, and it just clicked. Yen, Han and the Meraki team basically became our people for almost a year. They were...

What we loved

Perhaps what draws us to art is not only the beauty of a structure, but the way it holds memories, emotions, and lived experiences over time. Tú and An are exactly that kind of couple.

As UX/UI designers, they see the world through a distinct lens, where beauty is not only something to observe, but something to feel and experience. Throughout their wedding day, what stood out most was how intentionally they made space for the elements that shaped their story. Every detail reflected who they are: gentle, refined, and deeply authentic.

Decoration

For Tú and An, design has never been just about creating a beautiful space, but about translating a journey into emotion.

The inspiration began with the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, a place they returned to at different milestones of their relationship. Its iconic arches, architectural balance, and timeless atmosphere were subtly reinterpreted into the wedding design, creating a visual and emotional continuity between the vow ceremony and the evening celebration.

At the Fine Arts Museum, the space was kept elegant and minimal. Soft silver accents gently reflected under the historic arches, enhancing the architectural depth while maintaining a quiet, delicate atmosphere.

As night fell, the GEM Center transformed into a completely different mood. Deep wine red became the dominant tone, paired with metallic details, sculptural forms, and a restrained touch of disco inspiration. It echoed the nights they love most together immersed in music, movement, and shared energy.

As a public space that remains open to visitors throughout the day, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum presented a unique challenge for the production team.

While daily museum activities continued as usual, wedding preparations were carried out simultaneously. Every movement, spatial transition, and setup process had to be carefully coordinated to ensure privacy for the ceremony within a space that was never fully closed off.

Under the museum’s arches, Tú and An exchanged vows shaped by years of growing up together and continuously choosing each other. Replacing a traditional ritual, they raised a shot of tequila as their own symbolic gesture, simple, joyful, and true to how they live and love.

The evening began with the warmth of a traditional wedding gathering. But as the night progressed, the atmosphere gradually shifted music grew louder, glasses were raised more often, and laughter filled the space. Their first dance marked the turning point of the celebration, opening the evening into a more relaxed rhythm where everyone could fully step into and experience the moment together.
