From the very beginning, Thảo and Paul had a clear vision for the celebration: they wanted to create a playground. We translated their ideas into a space that felt immersive yet effortless, balancing creativity with the practical demands of the venue and guest experience.

A bold cobalt blue became the visual thread running throughout the day. Set against The Deck, large architectural forms transformed the venue into something playful yet strikingly contemporary. Curved pathways, geometric structures, and sculptural elements reshaped the landscape, creating a setting that felt closer to an art installation than a traditional wedding environment.

The reception embraced a bolder visual identity through metallic materials, reflective surfaces, silver-toned details, and subtle disco-inspired accents. While distinct from the ceremony setting, the design remained rooted in the same artistic sensibility that shaped the celebration as a whole.

Throughout the celebration, elements from both cultures were woven naturally into the experience. For the ceremony, Thảo chose to wear an áo dài while Paul honored his heritage in traditional Icelandic attire. The gesture extended beyond the couple themselves, as both families also embraced traditional dress, creating a beautiful reflection of two traditions coming together with warmth, respect, and genuine affection.

That spirit carried into the ceremony through a unity ritual inspired by both backgrounds. Together, they prepared a Scottish Coffee, combining Vietnamese coffee with Highland whisky, a symbolic blend of their histories, families, and the life they are building together. Each detail felt less like a contrast between cultures and more like a celebration of how naturally they had become part of one another's story.

The same sentiment could be felt through the music. Guests were welcomed by the familiar melody of Ngày Xưa Hoàng Thị, a song deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture, while the evening later unfolded through a soundscape that felt entirely contemporary and personal.

Long before the ceremony started, there was one detail Thảo seemed especially fond of: the capybara. Featured throughout the celebration as a light-hearted personal touch, it eventually became part of one of the day's most memorable entrances, delighting guests and setting the tone for the joyful, unconventional celebration that followed.

Throughout the day, guests were invited to experience the wedding in ways that felt wonderfully unconventional. Some wandered through the local art market, others found themselves in the ball pit, while conversations unfolded naturally between different corners of the venue. Even the smallest details carried a sense of fun, from the Best Dressed stickers guests received upon arrival to old episodes of Tom & Jerry quietly playing in the background during dinner, a nod to Paul's love for nostalgic cartoons.

Later, the dance floor took on a life of its own. Music had always been an important part of Thảo and Paul's world, and every song had been chosen with care. Guided by a DJ set that blended unexpected influences and genres, the evening carried the same energy that shaped the entire wedding: creative, and delightfully one of a kind.
