We love Linh, a bride who feels like a ray of sunlight. Carefree and witty, she has a way of dissolving sadness simply by being near. We love Chương, a groom whose attentiveness is calm and steady, like rain. Even after it passes, a gentle softness remains.
Perhaps it was fate that led Linh and Chương to choose April to begin their life together. Saigon, on the cusp of summer, carries both sun and rain, warmth and tenderness intertwined. The season opened with a joyful freshness, echoed in the vivid red of the Nhật Bình Linh chose, and in the translucent colors of nostalgic sweets prepared for the family ceremony. Their journey into marriage became one of the most colorful and memorable we have witnessed. A story alive with light, texture, and sincere emotion.
Both Linh and Chương have spent many years away from home. Away not only from familiar walls, but from childhood memories, from special treats saved for meaningful occasions, from rows of flowers glowing with chrysanthemums, lotuses, marigolds, and banana blossoms. For them, we created an intimate family ceremony that felt like a warm return.
Linh’s home was filled with traditional sweets, bánh ống, bánh in, lotus jam, banana candy, along with tin cans tied behind the car and generous bouquets scattered throughout the house. A sense of closeness lived quietly in the orchids woven into many details, carrying a tender message that Linh’s mother would walk beside her, step by step, to the ceremony and throughout the journey ahead.
We then arrived at Chương’s home, a house shaped by old Saigon, resting quietly within a narrow alley. On an April day, it was dressed in colour and the gentle scent of lotus, welcoming a son returning with the woman he loves. It marked the close of a chapter of growing up and the beginning of a happiness made whole. If a house could remember, it would never forget the joy that filled its doorway that morning.
Walking alongside Linh and Chương, whose love is each other’s first and only, felt like being given a ticket back to another time. A time of simple romances, green and enduring, where love was unadorned, deeply rooted, and meant to last a lifetime.
