Connection was one of the feelings we carried most throughout Christie and Jonathan's wedding journey. It began with the trust Christie and Jon placed in us from the very beginning, giving everyone the space to exchange ideas openly and bring their vision to life together.
That same feeling extended far beyond the couple. Throughout the process, we were surrounded by partners who were incredibly supportive and collaborative, reminding us that the most meaningful celebrations are always created through people moving together in the same direction.
As golfers, Christie and Jonathan had already decided before the planning even began: their wedding had to take place on a golf course.
Turning that idea into reality came with more challenges than expected. Golf courses are carefully preserved landscapes, so every decision had to balance the setting itself with the guest experience. With the ceremony set deeper into the course, transportation became an important part of the planning, with guests arriving by golf carts and each transition carefully timed to keep the journey smooth and effortless.
After exploring many possibilities, we found our answer at Banyan Tree Lăng Cô, marking Meraki's first wedding there. Set between the mountains and the sea, the space felt almost like a symbolic nineteenth hole, where Christie and Jonathan could gather the people they love and celebrate the passion that had long been part of their story.
After exchanging vows, the two returned to the lawn for one final ritual. Standing side by side, they took a ceremonial golf swing towards the horizon, turning a familiar gesture into the first swing of their new beginning. As the ball disappeared into the evening light, the moment felt less like a farewell to one chapter and more like a celebration of everything still waiting ahead.
As evening settled over the lawn, then came their first dance, the moment everyone had quietly been waiting for. From the very first notes of Latch, Christie and Jonathan seemed to become dancers. Every spin, lift, and playful movement unfolded with such ease that it felt less like choreography and more like a language only they could speak. Before long, the room was completely drawn in, eyes fixed, smiles growing wider, and for a while, nothing else seemed to exist beyond the two of them.
And just when emotions had reached their peak, fireworks bloomed across the night sky. Like a quiet celebration for the beginning of a new chapter, each burst of light seemed to carry the wishes shared for Christie and Jonathan that evening.
