What we love
Being a wedding enthusiast and the founder of Meraki, Xu put a lot of effort into planning her wedding, from the operation to the esthetic perspectives. She is meticulous, ambitious, and especially, an expert when it comes to design experience. We can't lie, working with Xu is such a dream and a great experience that we all look forward to.
As Xu already had a clear vision of her dream wedding, we were able to quickly prioritize and execute the to-do list effectively and get the planning process going smoothly.
Besides, this wedding was supported by her amazing vendor friends (many of them), so the working process was indeed a joyous journey that we all will never forget.
The Decoration
Color palette
We chose earthy tones for the wedding color palette to make the event harmonize in the pine forest. Forest green, dusty orange, rustic brown, and beige rendered a warm ambiance for the wedding that day. They also carried the strong rustic qualities that the celebration was meant to be.
Ceremony space
We wanted to appreciate the beauty of the pine forest as much as possible, so Home Garden Wedding Decor managed to create a beautiful hanging arch for the ceremony. Not only that fulfill the bride’s wishes for “having flowers above us,” but also delivered a unique design, stepping away from other typical designs. Xu went the extra mile by bringing the vintage wooden benches from her high school, which is more than 100km away, to make sure everything matches with the wedding overall look just like what she had envisioned.
Reception dinner space
To enhance the event experience, we created a transformation across wedding venues. From a landscape imbued with mountain scents to a cozy dining hall beneath the fairy lights and candles interspersed. The dinner reception was decorated with high and low flower clusters, touched with handwritten escort cards and beautiful tableware. Everything was meticulously prepared by the good friends of the couple.
THE VENUES
Welcome dinner venue
A casual welcome dinner was held in the lovely garden of Vesta Haus Dalat the day before the wedding so guests could mingle around and get to know each other. In the midst of a chilly night, having apricot wine and BBQ as the welcome feast, we had lots of laughter and started the joyful moment that kept on following for many days after that.
Ceremony venue
Craving for a memorable wedding in a forest with only family and close friends attending, Xu spent a lot of time searching for a perfect space. And she found it. The ceremony took place in the middle of a mysterious pine forest. It was lovely, private and close to Da Lat city, where Hieu - the groom confessed his love to Xu.
Reception dinner venue
Xu chose to have dinner and the after-party at a villa of Ana Villas Dalat to get away from the occasional rains and the highland's cold weather. The dinner took place in a historical, nostalgic space that carried out intimacy and warmth, enabling everyone to share and chat openly throughout the night.

Ceremony
The ceremony music was sung by a close friend of Xu and Hieu. The moment slowed down as Xu walked down the aisle and evoked sentimental feelings to the attendees. Needless to say, it was absolutely their favorite song (and ours too) for a long time. Besides, it was an emotional rollercoaster when the couple exchange vows in front of their beloved families and closest friends, who have been witnessing their love journey from the beginning.
Reception dinner
One of the advantages of a small wedding is that it creates a feeling of intimacy. The speeches were open and honest, and went straight into everyone's heart. The cake cutting and first dance followed after that to spice up the atmosphere . Everyone was passionately singing along, dusting off their shoes and dancing together until the morning light.
