WHAT WE LOVE
Phong and Hoang were such an energetic, sweet, and loving couple. This wedding was the first project that Meraki collaborated with photographer Phan Tien when he returned to Vietnam after 10 years of living and working in France. Bai Tho mountain top in Ha Long Bay was our first pick for the location to hold their wedding ceremony. This awesome place was a harmonious and delicate combination of the vast space of the sky and the immensity of the water, which put on a spectacular artistic touch of nature. We chose this location with the desire to honor and bring out the beauty of Vietnam, as well as introduce the magnificent scenery of our country to our international friends.
We started to climb the mountain at 3 in the morning to ensure we won't miss the dawn for the ceremony. The moment we made it to the top, hundreds of meters above the sea, the most magnificent aurora appeared.
We still remember the sound of the bells from an early fishing boat setting out to the sea, or the melodious chirping of the birds in the air in that early morning. Everything was in harmony and was even more beautiful when Phong and Hoang exchanged vows to celebrate their love.
The reception was held on a pretty wooden boat on Ha Long Bay. The most marvelous scene presented when the boat slowly drifted through every limestone of the mountain, where the sunlight scattered to create the beautiful colors of twilight. What a day to remember!
We used dry grass combined with a lot of greenery and strong texture flowers to reflect the wildness in the personality of the grooms. Protea was chosen as one of the main ingredients for the party for its symbol of courage, trust, transformation as well as vibrancy and uniqueness.
